Steam isn't good for your skin. It can cause capillaries to surface, resulting in persistent redness or thread-like broken blood vessels. Steam also doesn't open pores, because pores do not have an open/close feature like window blinds. Concentrated steam causes the skin to become engorged with water, which swells pores, but that's not the same as opening them. Even if steaming skin was somehow good for it (one more point: steaming doesn't purge toxins from skin, either), this cleanser is terrible and the claims are silly.
